Role descriptions

Owner

The workspace creator. Has full control over all settings including billing, workspace deletion, and ownership transfer. Each workspace has exactly one Owner.

Admin

Can manage the team (invite, remove, change roles) and connect YouTube channels. Cannot access billing or delete the workspace.

Member

The standard role for active collaborators. Can view content, start AI jobs, edit captions, export files, and upload to YouTube. Cannot manage team membership.

Viewer

Read-only access. Can view videos, captions, and download exports but cannot start jobs, edit captions, or manage any settings. Useful for clients or stakeholders who need to review work.

Changing roles

Owners and Admins can change any member’s role from Workspace Settings → Team. Click the role dropdown next to a member’s name to change it.
  • You cannot change your own role
  • Only Owners can promote someone to Admin
  • Only Owners can demote an Admin

Transferring ownership

Only the current Owner can transfer ownership. Go to Workspace Settings → Team, click the menu next to the target member, and select Transfer Ownership. This immediately:
  • Promotes the target member to Owner
  • Demotes you to Admin
This action cannot be undone without the new Owner’s cooperation.
